Hi people!

So I have somehow managed to take a few months out of my busy schedule to explore Asia, see how the world works out here, experience a new culture and see the difference in hairdressing from what I am used to in London.

So far I have taken in Bangkok, northern Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and I am currently in the southern islands of Thailand.

This part of the world is truly amazing. There is so much respect between people and beautiful surroundings. It puts London to shame in some respects.

The only downside is that I missed London Fashion Week for the first time in 5 years. It was a weird feeling missing out on the crazyness and the hype of the week. I’ve seen the shots from my team though, and the work looks amazing, so well done to them all. I will definitely be back for the next seasons collections, elbow high in hairspray and hairnets.

The salons out here are beyond unbelievable. Just think a beach hut or garage, a chair and a little mirror…. That’s about all the salons are. The average ladies haircut out here is the equivalent to 50p sterling.

I wouldn’t be recommending your Mrs to have her hair done out here. I was walking past a salon in Saigon Vietnam, watching a hairdresser apply foils to a Swedish girl’s hair… I physically had to stop and tell her friends what would happen. Bleach on top of bleach is the biggest no no in colouring hair. And there she was, going for it!!! I think the lady ended up with her hair in a carrier bag…!

I am missing the buzz of London, the glamorous side to my job, the stress, the hype, the models of course, working as part of my team but when I am laying on Chewang beach in Ko Samui, I couldn’t be further away from my life back home if I tried…! Paradise!!!

I will be back in the UK in 2 weeks time. Keep an eye out for my work and future TV and press appearances. I have some big projects lined up when I return. Monday-Morning.co.uk will be where you hear and see it first.
